Rod Neumann is a degreed Electrical Engineer, graduating from the University of Houston in 1972. His career began at NASA during the final Apollo moon landings, where he spent three years designing electronics hardware and software for ground support equipment used by NASA and the Air Force — a foundation that set a high bar for precision and reliability from the very start.
From there, Rod joined a microprocessor startup consulting firm, riding the wave of one of the most exciting technological revolutions in history. After six years, he decided it was time to go independent. He launched his own consulting practice under the name Rod Neumann and Associates, which later grew and incorporated as ALLOGIC INC.
Over the decades, Rod's engineering work has spanned an remarkable range of industries — designing electronics and software for toy companies, appliance manufacturers, military applications, electric utilities, and oil and gas production, pipeline, and exploration companies. That depth of experience across so many demanding fields is what he brought to the design of every ADOR chicken door.
When Rod turned his attention to backyard chicken keeping, he didn't cut corners. He applied the same engineering discipline that had served NASA and Fortune 500 companies alike — this time, to solve a simple but important problem for everyday people who just want their chickens to be safe.
