The ADOR1-M Mini is the perfect solution when your coop has limited vertical space. It carries all the proven technology, rugged construction, and reliable automatic operation of the full-size ADOR1 — designed to fit where the standard door cannot.

If your coop has plenty of headroom, we recommend the full-size ADOR1 or ADOR2. But if the coop has structure that may interfere above the door — like a window, a roofline, or a low beam — the ADOR1-M was built for exactly that situation. Shorter, squattier coops with very little vertical space are where this door truly shines.

Every unit ships with a pre-tested 6-volt lantern battery included, ready to install right out of the box.

How Much Space Do You Need?

The full-size ADOR1 requires 28.5" of total height when the door panel is open. The ADOR1-M Mini requires only 20.5" — a full 8 inches shorter. That difference can make all the change in a tight coop.

The chicken opening itself is only 4" shorter than the full-size ADOR1, and at 10.5" wide by 9" high, it comfortably accommodates normal-size chickens. In fact, there are other automatic doors on the market priced at $300 and above with the same 9" opening — so if your coop calls for a Mini, your chickens will have no trouble using it.

Not sure if the opening is big enough for your birds? Try this simple test: cut a 10.5" x 9" opening in a cardboard box, drop your largest chicken inside, and see if she can escape through the opening alright. If she does without hesitation, the ADOR1-M is the right fit.
